I’m biking everywhere now, despite the snow and rain. Spring has been too long in coming, so I’ve decided to live as if it already has. I arrive home soaked, muddy, and smiling.

I experienced Bringing Out the Dead, directed by Martin Scorsese, again last night. I strongly recommend that you watch this patient and poetic movie about mad New York nights.
This Easter weekend I have read from Richard Kearney’s The God Who May Be: A Hermeneutics of Religion, which posits God a potential rather than actual—a powerful Easter meditation.

Rereading Dante’s Commedia—imagining the creation of an modern/modernist text based on the same with fragments and Eliot as the guide and the ocean as paradise (mythic). The text would begin in a inner-city bar.
